The political environment in Hong Kong is dynamic and complicated. Seventieth years after the handover, people feel that the concept of “one country, two systems” is changing. People urge to gain more freedom and express their political view in the society.
From anti-national education in primary and secondary school, the offensive feeling towards Pro-Beijing camp in Hong Kong, for example, Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB), the disagreement with the Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2014, the wish of universal suffrage in Hong Kong, to the support of the umbrella movement. The variety of political issues appear in songs re-creation reflect people's active participation in political events recently.
