This song reflects the conflict between mainland people and Hong Kong citizen. In 2012, the conflict between Hong Kong and Mainland China intensified.

A Peking University professor,Kong Qingdong, commented on the issue of Mainland visitors eating on Hong Kong MTR on a Internet TV show called “Kong Monk Has Something to Say” (《孔和尚有话说》), saying “some Hong Kong people are dogs”, and “A place needs the law to maintain order reflects the (low) quality of people at such place”.

 

In another hand, Hong Kong called the mainland chinese, Locust. The term locust refers to some group of mainland visitor in Hong Kong, which escalate in Hong Kong over China's increasing influence and the influx of mainland visitors. A group of netizens donated money to fund a full-page advertisement in Apple Daily in reaction to the speech by Kong. The advertisement used terms like "Hong Kongers have had enough!" and "This city is dying, you know?" to indicate the social conflict.

With the intensified conflict, they hope the society can calm down and peacefully intensified the issue. As we are in the same nation, we should try to understand other’s value and be considerate instead of irrationally argue with the other party.
