The song reflects the difficulties for teenager to purchase their own apartment or car due to the ridiculously high land price in Hong Kong.

It reflect the low salaries and long working hour of the young generation. Hong Kong was the third lowest ‘real’ salary increase in the region, the real wage will rise only 1.3% on average in 2015. Their salaries can barely catch up with the inflation rate in the society, they never earn enough to spent and handle daily cost, so some of them even sacrifice their health to work to work in long hours.

It reflects the severe competition among the generation and the high land price in Hong Kong. They never save enough money to purchase a car within 3 years, and it is also impossible to pay the initial deposit to buy an apartment. Even they can pay for the initial deposit, sometime with the help from parent, they may need over 30 years to settle all instalment payment.
