Concent on the fate of China

Beyond expresses the concern of the fate and future of China. Hong Kong had been separated from China for years. The level of development and social condition of Hong Kong and China was very different. It mentions the years of changes after the social and political reform of China. The song tells that Hong Kong people were unfamiliar with the once “motherland”, China seems very strange and unknown to the Hong Kong citizens at the time. The song again describes the social trepidation of the handover of Hong Kong.
