Since handover in 1997, many historical buildings are demolished and the political regime has changed. For citizen who experienced the ruling of Sino-British government, they feel frustrated as Hong Kong has changed a lot and become increasing sinicize. The unfamiliarities make them rethink their identity and the core value of Hong Kong, and sense of responsibilities was reduced.

命運要令我學識奮鬥 但我只懂得荒謬”

Some citizen start to lost hope towards the development of Hong Kong. Hong Kong market become increasing simplex and dominant by large enterprise. In order to support their daily life in a city with high price index, they are force to work non-stop, but they still receive low salaries. Citizens are not able to pursuit their own interest and dream, while they only know to work like a machine at office.

這世界也不是我的地頭 就當我在宇宙飄流”

Although they have lost hope towards the society, they still worried about the development if it. It reflects the struggle of Hong Kong people, they love this place, but they don’t know how to love as they saw no hope towards this place. So, some of them end up with escaping from the place and denying their own identity.
