Handover in 1997
In 1990s, Hong Kong people were getting closer to the handover in 1997. Cantopop at that time showed typical Hong Kong people's mentality towards this political event. For example, many people immigrated to foreign in order to escape from the communist regime.Some songs were used to comfort the people and encourage people to stay while the others were pessimistic towards the future of Hong Kong.
